Taking 14 minutes to download a podcast was the final straw.

Crazy to even think that Mr Whipple would have time advertising for Comcast what with all those Bounty-Commercials he did back in the days.

I feel the same way at times... I'm pissed because of the ineptitude, but I know that the phone monkey on the other end of the line isn't at fault...

I got told "You're taking this a lot better than I would have expected." after being told that my service was cut off because of virus activity, and while they could turn it back on for the five minutes it would take to upload, they would then have to suspend my account for 14 days. My only option was to get both computers checked and fixed before putting it back on. I offered to buy their anti-virus software and they said it wouldn't necessarily guarantee that my account wouldn't be suspended... And all this was while I was trying to figure out how we were going to update TOGM that day without any access.

At the end I just said "I'll see if I can find some other way to do it" and she said that she was surprised I was taking it so well... I asked if raging at her would solve anything, and she agreed it would not. So I figured I'd save her some grief and myself some karma :)

I just found out the other night that Comcast is on my I No Likey List. Apparently they are doing away with our cable as we know it. Everyone will be forced to have HD or something like that - whatever it is - our TV won't work anymore (most likely) and neither will my TIVO which I can barely live with out. I guess we can get some sort card from them so our TiVo will work which of course I will have to pay a monthly fee for it. My husband kept asking me had we received any notice from Comcast when this would happen = I'm like no - I look at my bill from 2 month ago (yeah I'm usually a month behind and they never call me :) anyway there is a note that says I've received a paper bill this time because of a special note that was enclosed which obviously just looked like there normal JUNK so I pitched it. :( Having said all that GO KEVIN :)
